Abbey in the UK have launched the Abbey Photocard which allows you to put one of your photos on a credit card.
From Abbey's site:
"Your own photo on your Abbey current account card
Now your current account card can look exactly the way you want it to – it could look like you, your dog, your family or your mates… Just use your imagination. If you don’t have a favourite photo, you can choose one from our gallery of images.
There’s no need for your bank card to look boring ever again."
At a time when UK banks are suffering a backlash, directed particularly against their credit card products, it's an interesting way of adding a personal element to credit cards and potentially changing the way consumers think about them.
